Learn how to set up the software to your personal comfort (date format, units, currencies).
Before you start working, make the software "speak your language." Every engineer has their own way of looking at numbers and dates.
1. Time & Date format
Open **User Preferences** from the **Edit** menu. Show students the importance of **Show Hours** for precise activity tracking.
2. Currencies
Demonstrate how to change the currency code from $ to local currency. Primavera isn't accounting software, but it understands numbers well.
💡 BIMitPlaniT Tip: Always enable the "Show Duration Label" (day, hour, month) to prevent any confusion when sharing schedules with managers.
3. Calculations Tab
This is for pros. Explain how the software calculates remaining cost based on units or percentages.
